Admiral Jellicoe House in Southsea – Andy Burns
Four members of the Gosport Branch recently visited one of their members, Andy Burns, who resides at the Admiral Jellicoe House in Southsea.
The Admiral Jellicoe House has now been open for a year and Andy was one of the first to call it home. The house is for ex Royal Navy and Royal Marines, male and female who served as a Warrant Officer and below and they cater mainly for those suffering from dementia.
The House staff invited the members to join Andy and other residents for lunch which was much appreciated by all concerned.

As can be seen from the photos, Andy absolutely loves to have visitors.
Andy was in the Medical Branch and served 22 years in the Submarine Service, served on six nuclear boats, and left as a CPO MA. During his career Andy ran for the Devonport Field Gun Crew on three occasions, played rugby for United Services Portsmouth and was a member of the tank staff for several years. He was also an active member of the Gosport Branch of the Submariners Association as Treasurer.
If you would like to visit Andy please call the House on 02392 000 996.

Admiral Jellicoe House was opened in June 2022 and is the latest addition to the Royal Naval Benevolent Trust care facilities.
