Submariners Association Gazebo

The North East Branch of the Submariners Association spent a windy day at the Blyth Battery D-Day celebration. We were delighted to be able to use the new gazebo with the association badges and dolphins, it made a great impression on all who came to our stand. Displaying photos and information about submarines operating out of Blyth during the Second World War to the young and older generation.

Thanks to Craig and Maggy Wier, John Bartlett, Jill Hardy, Eddie Carnegie, Martin and Jan Percival.

It will be used again on Saturday at the Amble D-Day celebration on the town square.

Gazebo Loan

The Submariners Association now has four Gazebo’s for loan. Branches are encouraged to make use of these if the event supports it. Gazebos are free to loan, all the branch needs to do is cover the cost of transporting them to your branch and its return.
