The Gate

At The Gate Craft Bar in Park Gate, Hampshire, a group of ten spirited (kind of retired) individuals recently gathered for a refreshing drink and a brainstorm session on how to make a difference for three cherished charities, Motor Neurone  Disease, Alzheimer’s and a local Hampshire charity Motiv8 . Suddenly, inspiration struck: The Gate Cycle to Spain!

Among these ten remarkable men were Vince Dobbin and fellow submariner Brendan Regan, adding a touch of maritime camaraderie to the team. Armed with 9 bikes and 1 trusty van, these adventurers embarked on an extraordinary challenge—a 700-mile cycling journey from Portsmouth to Spain.
