Exciting News for Submariners in the East Coast of Scotland!
The Submariner’s Association is thrilled to announce the formation of a brand-new branch, for submariners in the east coast of Scotland, which takes the number of association branches to 47 in the UK, Spain and Australia.
The East of Scotland Submariners Association branch consists currently of seven serving submariners, including,
- Chair: WO1 WS(SSM) Derek ‘Del’ Briton
- Secretary: WO1 WTR(SM) David ‘Alf’ Ramsey
- Treasurer: CPO WS(SSM) James ‘Dodger’ Long
Having formed the branch, we are now extending a warm invitation to veterans and other serving submariners who live in the surrounding area to join us; to make new friends, possibly catch up with old comrades, swap stories and of course enjoy the company of like-minded individuals.
Talking of new friends and possible old comrades, we’d like to introduce our other founding members:

- WO1 Mickey Scaife
- Leading Rate Kieran Russell
- Leading Rate Jason ‘Nobby’ Clark
We meet on the first Friday of every month, location varying between the WO & SR Mess and the bar in HMS Scotia RNR, both located within HMS Caledonia, Rosyth, Fife.
Our next meeting is scheduled for Friday, December 1st, 2023, at 1900, and will be held in the WO & SR Mess.
